West Shore RCMP is currently investigating a report of mischief involving damage to trees in View Royal.
Police determined that two trees situated in front of 270 Island Highway in View Royal, were cut and trimmed without proper permits. Police are investigating this as a mischief as it has resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damage to the trees which are not expected to recover and likely need to be removed and/or replaced.
Police have not yet identified any suspects in this investigation. The mischief is believed to have taken place sometime between the last week of June 2025 and first week of July, and police are seeking witnesses who may have seen the offence take place to come forward and speak to investigators.
