Sexual assault suspect arrested

On September 17, 2025, West Shore RCMP published a media release regarding a sexual assault investigation.

The incident is alleged to have taken place on September 15, 2025, between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., at the Eagle View Elementary located at 97 Talcott Rd in View Royal.

A female child was playing in the school yard when she was approached by an unknown male suspect, who exposed himself and touched the child in a sexual manner. The child was able to leave the area safely and was physically unharmed.

On the evening of September 17, 2025, police arrested a 21-year-old man in relation to the sex assault. The suspect is currently in custody and will appear before the courts today.

No similar reports of this nature have been received.  Investigators have canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance, however, if you have information regarding this specific crime and have not yet spoken to police, please call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
