Can you identify this hit and run suspect?

West Shore RCMP is currently investigating a report of hit and run that took place on January 15 at approximately 7:00 p.m. near the 1700 block of Trans Canada Hwy in View Royal.

Police have viewed dash camera footage that depicts two vehicles travelling West bound.  A Chevy Silverado truck travelling behind a Toyota matrix, attempts to pass on the right and then abruptly cuts back into the number one lane and collides with the front passengers side fender of the Toyota matrix.

The suspect vehicle did not stop. Police are investigating seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect truck and driver involved in the dangerous driving and collision. 

Description of suspect truck

  • Chevrolet Silverado truck (likely 2005-2006), beige in color, licence plate unknown
  • light colored overhead utility rack
  • large package in the bed of truck
  • the truck will likely have damage to the rear driver’s side quarter panel/bumper area
