The West Shore RCMP detachment located at 698 Atkins Ave, Langford, will be undergoing major construction as plans are underway to replace the older portion of its existing facility with a new building on the same site. 

This fall the existing portion of the RCMP facility, which dates back to the 1960s, will be decommissioned to make way for construction of the new building. The public can expect to hear loud noises during the demolition period. 

While West Shore RCMP officers and staff will continue to operate from this site, the Front Counter is relocating.

Front counter services relocating

As part of the redevelopment, West Shore RCMP front counter services will close at their current location and relocate to a temporary location nearby. The detachment located at 698 Atkins Ave will not be accessible to the public. 

Effective Sept 14, 2026, anyone requiring in-person front counter services, including reporting a crime, obtaining fingerprints, Police Information Checks  or accessing other services provided at the front counter, will need to attend:

Unit #117 - 693 Hoffman Ave
Langford, BC, V9B 4X1

The relocated front counter will remain available to members of the public throughout construction period which is expected to last at least 3 years.  For Front Counter hours of operation and more information please visit our website. 

The West Shore RCMP encourages residents to use the new address when attending in person for front counter services once the relocation takes effect.
