White Rock RCMP officer rides again for Cops for Cancer

The White Rock RCMP is proud to recognize Constable Carly Godlien as she participates in the 2026 Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast, raising funds and awareness in support of children and families affected by cancer.

This marks Constable Godlien's third year participating in Cops for Cancer, having previously ridden in 2018 and 2019. As part of the Tour de Coast, Godlien will join fellow riders on a six-day cycling journey, covering approximately 100 kilometres each day through communities across the region in support of pediatric cancer research and programs for children and families affected by cancer.

"A colleague and friend's daughter, Caitlyn, is courageously battling cancer, and her strength, bravery, and determination continue to inspire me," says Constable Godlien. "I am proud to ride in support of her and her family while raising awareness and funds for children and families facing cancer. Cops for Cancer gives us an opportunity to stand alongside those families and support critical research and programs that make a meaningful difference in their lives."

Each rider is required to raise a minimum of $6,000. Through the generosity of the community and supporters, Constable Godlien has already raised nearly $20,000, far exceeding her fundraising goal. Despite surpassing that benchmark, she continues to raise funds in support of pediatric cancer research and programs that help children and families affected by cancer.

Funds raised through Cops for Cancer support pediatric cancer research and programs such as Camp Goodtimes, which provides children with cancer and their families opportunities for connection, support, and healing.

"The generosity of our community has been incredible," added Godlien. "Every donation helps support children and families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives."
