Williams Lake RCMP are seeking witnesses after an assault in the city earlier this week.

On May 18, 2026, police were called to the local hospital after an individual attended with a minor laceration. Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that the injury may have been the result of an assault.

The incident is believed to have occurred in the 700-block of Borland Street between approximately 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Police have conducted canvassing efforts in the area and have identified some persons of interest; however, investigators are still looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information.

The injured individual has since been treated and released from hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Williams Lake RCMP at 250-392-6211.
