Police seek public assistance to identify suspect in RV theft

Williams Lake RCMP are seeking the public's assistance following the theft of a recreational vehicle from a storage facility in Williams Lake.

On August 16, 2026, at approximately 6:25 a.m., Williams Lake RCMP received a report that a white 2016 Grand Design Reflection 27RL had been stolen overnight from the parking lot of the self storage on South Lakeside Drive.

Investigators have learned the RV was allegedly towed from the property by a suspect vehicle described only as a dark-coloured pickup truck with a white passenger-side door. 

Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the overnight hours, or who may have dash camera or surveillance footage, to contact the Williams Lake RCMP.

"We are asking anyone who may have seen this RV being towed or who has information about its whereabouts, the suspect vehicle, or its owner, to come forward," said Staff Sergeant Brad McKinnon of the Williams Lake RCMP. "Even seemingly minor details could assist investigators in identifying those responsible and recovering the stolen property."
