The RCMP seeks your help in solving cases of missing Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people
On this page
This year we will be highlighting eight cases over a four-week period on social media. The start of the campaign in October was chosen to coincide with the Sisters in Spirit Vigil held by the Native Women's Association of Canada each October 4.
How the public can help
- Visit canadasmissing.ca to review the cases of missing women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people. To submit a tip, please contact any of the following:
- The investigating police agency included on the profile of the missing woman
- Crime Stoppers by phone 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) or online
- The National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains by email at canadasmissing-disparuscanada@rcmp-grc.gc.ca
- "Like" the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on Facebook to see information about the cases and share them
- Follow @rcmpgrcpolice on Twitter to read about and retweet information on the cases
- Follow @rcmpgrcpolice on Instagram and share their stories to raise awareness about the cases
This initiative is an opportunity for communities across the country to be involved by sharing information that may generate tips for investigating officers. With the public's help we hope to bring these missing women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people home, and seek justice and closure for families in unsolved homicide cases.
