Community constables

Note

We are not currently accepting applications for Community constables. Please check back for future opportunities.

Who we are

We are armed, uniformed peace officers who serve in our home communities. Community constables are well positioned for the role because we're familiar with our community's language, culture and geography.

What we do

Our main mandate is to engage our communities in crime prevention and reduction activities.

We can also support the work of police officers in their daily duties if required.

Requirements and training

As a community constable, you must meet standards similar to those for regular members. We spend 23 weeks training at the RCMP Academy (Depot) in Regina, Saskatchewan.
