Musical Ride Open House

On this page

The RCMP is excited to welcome visitors back to our stables for the Musical Ride Open House and Ottawa Food Bank Drive. This event has been an annual tradition in our community since 1996. Bring your family and friends to visit the home of the Musical Ride and meet police officers from the RCMP in support of the Ottawa Food Bank.

When

Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Location

Musical Ride Centre
RCMP Rockcliffe Stables
1 Sandridge Road
Ottawa, Ontario  K1A 0R2
Canada

Two young visitors get to meet a horse up close.

What to expect

Drop in to tour the stables and meet the horses and riders of the world-famous Musical Ride. You'll have a chance to take a selfie (or two) with a Mountie and their beautiful black horses. You'll also see demonstrations from the RCMP’s specialized units, take part in family-friendly activities and check out displays of police equipment.

Giving back to the community

Admission is free, but non-perishable food items and cash donations will be collected to support the Ottawa Food Bank. Now more than ever the Ottawa Food Bank needs help. Month after month, they continue to see dramatic increases in the need for their services. Thanks to generous visitors, our 2025 Open House raised more than $5,200 and approximately 997 kilograms (2,200 pounds) of food.

Parking

Limited free parking is available on site, so use of public transportation is encouraged.

Public transportation

The Musical Ride Stables are accessible by OC Transpo bus #7. The grounds are located just off the Sir-George-Étienne-Cartier Parkway. Limited free parking is available on site.
