Integrated Forensic Identification Services

Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS) is the national policy centre that supports Forensic Identification Services. As well, it is responsible for delivery of National Forensic Identification Support Services (NFISS) which includes specialized support services such as Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (BPA), Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive response (CBRNE) crime scene examination. IFIS is also the policy centre for the Forensic Artist Program, maintaining policy and training standards for Forensic Facial Imaging Artists in the RCMP.
