As some world leaders begin their departure from Canada, the Integrated Safety and Security Group (ISSG) is advising residents that a visible security presence will continue over the coming days.

This ongoing activity is part of the demobilization process, as the ISSG begins clearing equipment, removing police vehicles, dismantling security operations and conducting environmental remediation at designated sites. Residents may also notice continued motorcade movements and increased traffic in and around the Calgary International Airport. This is a normal part of concluding large-scale security operations.

Reminder that the land, controlled access zone (CAZ) and airspace restrictions, notice to airmen (NOTAM) remain in place and that the Calgary airport tunnel remains closed. More information regarding the lifting of these restrictions will be communicated tomorrow, June 18.

The ISSG thanks local communities for their cooperation and support in maintaining a safe and accessible environment throughout the 2025 G7 Summit, as well as for their patience and understanding as this work is completed safely and efficiently.

As always, we remind everyone: If you see something, say something!
