Law Enforcement Record Checks
The RCMP's Security Intelligence Background Section (SIBS) conducts Law Enforcement Record Checks (LERCs) to assist with the federal government's security screening processes. SIBS is named by the Treasury Board of Canada as the Lead Security Agency (LSA) and the Internal Enterprise Service Organisation (IESO) for LERC services.
