On March 24, 2026, at 1:09 a.m., Niverville RCMP received a report of a commercial alarm at a property on Fernwood Way in New Bothwell.
The owner of the property confirmed that a male suspect entered the property and was seen attempting to steal equipment. The owner and a family member observed the suspect leave the property in a pickup truck and proceeded to follow him.
The owner and the suspect got into a confrontation on Road 33E near Zhoda. Police attended immediately and arrested the suspect, who was identified as Ryder Broesky, 20, from Sundown.
Broesky was also wanted on three separate arrest warrants for property-related offences in the RM of Hanover, Niverville and Winnipeg.
It was later learned that the suspect vehicle had been reported stolen on Feb. 2, 2026, to the Falcon Lake RCMP.
Broesky was arrested and released with conditions. He is to appear in court on April 27, 2026, in St. Pierre-Jolys.
Broesky has been charged with break and enter as well as two charges for possession of stolen property.
Niverville RCMP continue to investigate.
