On March 31, 2026, at 7:06 a.m., Lac du Bonnet responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11, south of Lac du Bonnet, near Road 84 North.

Officers responded immediately and learned that a pickup truck was travelling on the highway when a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction lost control in front of him. The pickup truck then collided with the vehicle.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 71-year-old male from Beausejour, was not injured. His passenger, a 69-year-old female, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver and the passenger of the other vehicle – 71- and 66-year-old males, both from Lac du Bonnet – have died.

This morning’s road conditions and heavy snowfall are believed to be a factor in the collision.

Lac du Bonnet RCMP, along with a forensic collision reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
