Dauphin RCMP charge male following hit and run, victim critically injured

On March 30, at approximately 2 :25 a.m., Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian that was hit by a vehicle near Pine River, Man.
The incident happened on the 500-block of Second Avenue, when a vehicle hit a 36-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to hospital in Winnipeg in critical condition. He remained in hospital at last report.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene. A suspect was located a few hours later and arrested.
Paul Davies Pratt, 46, of Pine River has been charged with:
- Failing to stop after accident resulting in bodily harm;
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm; and
- Failing to comply with demand (alcohol).
Pratt remains in custody.
