Update: Beausejour RCMP looking for suspect after an attempted break and enter to a home

On April 25, 2026, Jacob Ashe was located inside a vehicle at a business parking lot on Manitoba Avenue in Selkirk.
He was arrested without incident and remanded into custody.

On March 29, at 2:24 am, Beausejour RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence in the 800 block of Ashton Avenue in Beausejour. The homeowners heard loud noises coming from the front door and observed a male trying to break the door.
The suspect noticed the homeowners and ran away. Beausejour RCMP, an RCMP drone operator and RCMP Police Dog Services attended but officers could not locate the suspect.
Further investigation and review of many surveillance videos helped officers identify the suspect as Jacob Ashe, 22, from the RM of Reynolds. He is now wanted for:
- Break and enter,
- Mischief,
- Fail to comply with a release order x 2
He is described as 5’11”, 185 lbs with red hair and blue eyes.
