Female arrested on ATV with a loaded firearm

On April 10, 2026, at 1 a.m., Oxford House RCMP assisted First Nation Safety Officer (FNSO) with a traffic stop in the Central Area in Bunibonibee Cree Nation. A female was pulled over and a barrel of a firearm was seen protruding from inside the ATV.
The female was arrested without incident and they recovered the loaded firearm from inside the ATV. She was also wanted by the God’s Lake Narrows RCMP on three different arrest warrants.
Ashely Chubb. 34, from God’s Lake Narrows, has been charged and remanded into custody for:
- Careless storage of a firearm;
- Unauthorised possession of a firearm;
- Possession of firearm with tampered serial number; and
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.
On April 13, 2026, Chubb was released on conditions with a pending court date on May 12, 2026, in God’s Lake Narrows.
The investigation continues.
