Dauphin RCMP charged a male after finding packets of a powdery substance believed to be cocaine.
Dauphin RCMP charged a male after finding packets of a powdery substance believed to be cocaine. He was then arrested a second time less than 72 hours later.

On April 17, at approximately 1:10 a.m., Dauphin RCMP were dispatched to disturbance in progress at a Dauphin residence.

Officers responded immediately and located a male suspect outside the residence. The male was uncooperative with police and resisted arrest. After a brief struggle, the suspect was placed into handcuffs but continued to resist – resisting efforts to get into the RCMP vehicle and refusing officer directives once at the detachment.

A search of the suspect revealed multiple wrapped packets containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, drug paraphernalia and cash.

The suspect appeared before the court later that day and was released on conditions.

On April 20, at approximately 12:35 a.m., Dauphin RCMP located the same suspect breaching his conditions near the same Dauphin residence.

He was arrested and was held in custody, pending a court appearance on Monday.

  • Resisting/obstructing a peace officer x2;
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000; and
