On the fourth anniversary of Shawn Roy Miness’s disappearance, Portage la Prairie RCMP are urging anyone who may have information about what happened to him to come forward.
Miness was last seen at his residence on Tupper Street, in Portage la Prairie, on April 21, 2022. He was reported missing two days later when family members were unable to reach him.
RCMP have continued efforts to locate Miness, following up on tips and new information without success. Officers and Miness’s family believe somebody may have the necessary detail to help locate him and may not realize it.
“If you have any information related to my brother, please share it with the authorities,” said Ashley Reid, Shawn’s sister. “Even if you’re unsure whether it’s important, your piece could make a difference.”
Miness was 42 when he was first reported missing. He is six feet tall, with brown eyes and balding brown hair.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have reached out before or may have new information in relation to his disappearance to contact Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or provide a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
