Two face charges following break-in at Ebb and Flow First Nation’s Adult Education Building

On April 8, Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a break and enter that occurred on the Ebb and Flow First Nation, at the adult education building located just north of the high school.
Investigators learned a suspect or suspects entered the building at a side entrance, then stole approximately 26 laptops, 60-70 scientific calculators and a 75-80” smart board.
On April 11, the RCMP West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), supported by Ste. Rose RCMP and the RCMP West District General Investigation Section, executed a search warrant at a home in Ebb and Flow. The smart board, valued at approximately $8,000, was recovered by officers and returned to the adult education centre.
Two people – a 31-year-old male and 32-year-old female – have each been charged with possessing property obtained by crime.
Both were released from custody on an appearance notice.
The investigation continues.
