RCMP are asking for the public's help in helping solve the 2011 homicide of Jason Nunn.

On the 15th anniversary of Jason Nunn’s homicide, Manitoba RCMP are again asking for the public’s help in helping to identify his killer.

Nunn was 25-years-old at the time of his death, on April 24, 2011. Nunn was seen leaving the Element Restaurant and Lounge in Thompson at 2:30 a.m. that day after a night out with friends. At approximately 6:15 a.m., his body was found in a parking lot behind the Juniper Centre on Nelson Road.

Maven Hall, Jason’s sister, said her brother was training to be a mine refinery worker at the time of his death. She remembers her brother’s passion for playing the guitar, how he loved to dress up in a suit and tie as a young boy and the way he connected with others through his sense of humour.

“My brother’s life was taken when he was just 25 years old. We were three years apart and I remember thinking 25 seemed so grown up. Now, 15 years later, I see how young he truly was,” said Hall.

“Jay was an incredible brother, friend, son and uncle. We miss him deeply. We continue to hope that whoever is responsible for his death will come forward. If anyone has information, we ask that you share it – no matter how small – so it can help bring answers and move this case towards justice.”

Investigators believe somebody has the necessary details that will allow the homicide to be solved and for Nunn’s family to find closure. They just need to step forward.

Anyone with information on the homicide, no matter how small the detail, is asked to contact Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services at 204-984-5604, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or provide a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
