On May 5, at approximately 2 a.m., RCMP responded to a theft that occurred at a local restaurant on Kelsey Trail in Swan River.
Officers learned a male had forced the restaurant’s drive-thru window open while staff were working a short distance away, jumped halfway into the building – his feet dangling on the outside – and reached into the cash register. He then fled with a small amount of cash.
Following a review of evidence, officers were able to identify a suspect.
A 54-year-old Swan River male faces a charge of theft under $5,000.
He remains in custody, pending a court appearance.
