Dauphin RCMP charge male after fire started in front of Main Street building

On May 8, at approximately 9 :30 p.m., RCMP on patrol witnessed a small fire started near the front steps of a building on the 100-block of Main Street in Dauphin.
An officer saw a male suspect talking with another male, then walking away while the fire still burned. The other male subsequently put out the small blaze.
RCMP located the suspect at the side of the building and arrested him. A search of the suspect uncovered ammunition inside one of his jacket pockets.
Christopher Brazeaux, 32, of Dauphin is charged with:
- Arson; and
- Weapons possession contrary to order.
Brazeaux was remanded into custody.
