Two Swan River males face drug-related charges following traffic stop

On May 9, at approximately 12 :20 a.m., officers from the Swan River RCMP General Investigation Section performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that had just left a nearby beverage room.
Further investigation resulted in officers searching the vehicle. A pill container with no label filled with what is believed to be a prescription painkiller was located and both suspects were arrested.
Two males from Swan River – ages 78 and 33 – face charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Both individuals were released on an undertaking, with a court appearance set for August.
