Powerview RCMP respond to fatal ATV collision

On May 14, 2026, at 4:37 p.m., Powerview RCMP received a report of a single ATV rollover on North Shore Road in the RM of Alexander.
Officers found a 36-year-old Sagkeeng First Nation male in the south ditch, beside the ATV. RCMP, First Nation Safety Officers and Emergency Medical Services provided first aid to the male before pronouncing him deceased at the scene.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the incident. The male was not wearing a helmet.
Powerview RCMP continue to investigate.
