Selkirk RCMP asking the public to help identify suspect who assaulted a security guard

On March 25, 2025, at 4:55 am, Selkirk RCMP received a report of an assault that occurred on Main Street in Selkirk.
It was determined that a male was observed in the lobby of a business by an alarm company who then alerted a security guard. The guard approached the male and asked him to leave.
The male followed the security guard to his work vehicle and asked for a ride. The guard refused but offered to help by calling a taxi. The male became agitated and assaulted the guard by punching and kicking him.
The guard managed to escape and called 911. The suspect fled on foot.
Selkirk RCMP have canvassed businesses in the area, looking for video footage of the suspect, and they were able to obtain the following pictures.
