Steinbach RCMP looking for information involving the use of airsoft guns over the weekend

On May 24, 2026, at 9:45 pm, Steinbach RCMP were advised that the occupants of a grey vehicle, travelling south on Main Street in Steinbach, were shooting what is believed to be an airsoft gun at people walking on the street.
Officers responded immediately but the vehicle had fled the area and was never located. They also learned that at least two different groups were struck with no injuries reported.
Steinbach RCMP are asking any businesses on Main Street, between Kroeker Avenue and Friesen Avenue, to check their cameras for any surveillance footage that may assist officers with this investigation.
