Dauphin RCMP responded to two single-vehicle collisions near Grandview on Saturday that fortunately looked far more serious than they ended up being.

The first incident occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m., on Highway 366 near Grandview. A 46-year-old Roblin male was driving a van when he hit the gravel, lost control and flipped over. The driver was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.

Later that day, at approximately 4:10 p.m., RCMP responded to a report that an SUV travelling on Highway 5 near Grandview had gone into the river. The Grandview Fire Department and EMS rescued the 25-year-old male driver from the roof of his vehicle and was not injured.

It appears the driver was towing a cattle shoot and came over a hill, lost control, tried to correct but went down the embankment and into the river.

No charges are expected from either incident.
