Dauphin RCMP arrested a 17-year-old female following a break and enter at a local residence. The house was trashed by the suspect, including the oven, which saw a pan repeatedly smashed on the stove top.

On June 21, at approximately 12:35 a.m., RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at a home in Dauphin.

Officers arrived and saw the home’s front window and glass door had been smashed and garbage tossed on the lawn. Once inside, they saw a home that had been trashed, with wooden cabinets tipped over, a mirror smashed, a microwave that had been caved in and items laying all over the floor. Officers located a female suspect as she was smashing the top of an oven with a pan.

The suspect ran out the door. She was taken into custody in the back yard.

The homeowner was not at the residence at the time.

A 17-year-old female faces a charge of break and enter. She was held overnight, then released hours later on a released order before a justice. She will appear in court at a later date.
