Dauphin RCMP arrest male, seize knife following disturbance at local business

On June 20, at approximately 11:45 p.m., RCMP responded to multiple panic alarms at a business on the 100-block of Main Street South in Dauphin.
Officers were dispatched and quickly learned the alarm was hit because a male was smoking inside the business. While officers were advising the male that he cannot smoke inside the business, they noticed he was carrying a concealed knife. The male was arrested and taken into custody.
Further examination of the knife found it to be a prohibited switch blade.
Tristian Cote, 34, of Cote First Nation, Saskatchewan, is charged with:
- Carrying a concealed weapon;
- Possession of a prohibited weapon;
- Weapons possession contrary to order; and
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Cote was remanded into custody.
