Vehicle pulled over for speeding, driver’s licence suspended

On June 25, 2026, at 6:25 pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP were travelling north on Highway 11, approximately 2 miles north of Provincial Road 317, in the RM of Lac du Bonnet.
A pickup truck was observed travelling south at 163 km/h in a posted 100 km/h speed zone.
Officers turned around and the vehicle was pulled over on Provincial Road 317.
A mandatory alcohol screening was completed which resulted in a warn.
The driver, a 25-year-old male from the RM of Alexander, had his driver’s licence and vehicle impounded for 72 hours. He was also served with a fine of $875 for speeding and a serious offence notice.
