Fire at a 20-unit apartment in Peguis First Nation

On July 11, 2026, at 7:24 am, Fisher Branch RCMP received a report from the Peguis Emergency Centre stating the 20-unit residential building was on fire.
RCMP members responded immediately and breached all main floor doors to ensure full evacuation of main floor units.
Officers have confirmed that everyone had evacuated the building and there are no casualties or injuries reported.
At this time, the fire appears to be accidental.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner has been engaged and the Fisher Branch RCMP will assist with the investigation.
