Powerview RCMP respond to single vehicle rollover

On July 11, 2026, at 5 am, Powerview RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on North Shore Road in Sagkeeng First Nation.
Officers arrived on scene and located the two occupants, a female and a and male laying on the road with serious injuries. They were transported to a Winnipeg hospital.
It is believed that their SUV was travelling east on North Shore Road when it left the roadway and tumbled into the ditch. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. It is unknown which individual was driving.
On July 13, 2025, the 30-year-old male from Sagkeeng First Nation, died as a result of his injuries sustained following the collision.
The 19-year-old female, also from Sagkeeng First Nation, remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
