Thompson RCMP arrest female after stabbing

On July 10, 2026, at 8:40 pm, Thompson RCMP received a report of a weapons offence at a business on Mystery Lake Road.
Officers immediately responded to the scene and were advised by an employee that a female with a knife was seen near the store.
A description of the suspect was given to police, and she was located immediately in the parking lot and arrested.
The investigation determined the suspect had just been involved in a stabbing not far from the business. The female victim suffered a serious but non-life-threatening injury and was transported by EMS to hospital.
The weapon used in the assault had been thrown over a fence and was located by police.
Autumn Okemow, 26, from Oxford House, was arrested and charged with the following;
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Resist/obstruct peace officer
Okemow was remanded, then released on a Release order.
