Gimli RCMP respond to fatal single-vehicle-collision

On July 21, 2026, at 6:11 a.m., Gimli RCMP responded to a single-vehicle-collision on Highway 17 in the RM of Armstrong, five kilometers north of Narcisse.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers learned there were four people involved in the collision. The vehicle was travelling north on Highway 17 when it veered into the west ditch, then crossed over to the east ditch, hit an approach and rolled.
The front passenger, a 36-year-old female from Peguis First Nation, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased on scene. The three other occupants were transported to hospital by a passerby before police arrived on scene.
The driver, a 23-year-old male from Peguis First Nation, and two other passengers – a 33-year-old female from Winnipeg and a 17-year-old male from Hodgson – were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Gimli RCMP, along with the Manitoba RCMP Traffic Services, continue to investigate.
