On July 28, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP were notified of a theft that occurred at a business on Holme Road in Grunthal.

Officers attended the scene where they met with an employee who advised the theft occurred on Saturday, July 25, around 2 p.m.

Two male suspects, one wearing an orange safety vest and the other wearing a blue safety vest, made off with electrical cable worth an estimated $40,000-$50,000. They left the scene in a red truck.

These same two suspects were believed to be involved in an attempted theft later that same day where they breached a lock at a cellphone tower near Highway 216 and Highway 59.

In that instance, an employee was on site and the suspects fled the scene.

Police are looking for any details the public may have surrounding these incidents or information on the identity of the owner of the red truck.
