Morris RCMP make arrest after bar assault in Letellier

On August 2, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Morris RCMP received a report of stabbing at a business on 2nd Avenue West in Letellier.
Officers rushed to the scene and located a male victim inside the establishment who sustained severe injuries and was being treated by bystanders.
The victim was transported to hospital by EMS and continues his recovery there.
Officers learned that the victim had been assaulted outside by a male suspect who had since fled the scene.
The 39-year-old victim from Ontario was taken to hospital in Winnipeg with severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
A description of the suspect was provided, and he was later located walking down a street in Emerson and was arrested without incident.
The victim and the suspect were not known to each other.
Dakota Seenie, 30, from Letellier was remanded and is facing the following charges:
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purposes
- Fail to enter into recognizance
Morris RCMP continue to investigate.
