Thompson RCMP make arrest after early morning assault

On August 6, 2026, at 1:40 am., Thompson RCMP were dispatched to a stabbing that occurred at a residence on Princeton Drive.
Officers immediately responded and located an 18-year-old male with a stab wound.
The victim was treated by EMS and taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Police were directed to a nearby location where they located and arrested the 19-year-old female suspect without incident.
The suspect and the victim were known to each other.
Suvanna Bonner, 19, from Thompson, is facing a charge of Aggravated assault and remains in custody.
Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
