RCMP seized firearms, weapons and drugs after executing multiple search warrants at a Swan River residence on Sept. 4.

On Sept. 4, Swan River RCMP’s General Investigation Section (GIS) executed multiple search warrants following several complaints of drug trafficking at a residence within the community.

GIS officers executed the warrants at a residence on the 100-block of River Road. They were assisted by the RCMP’s West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), Manitoba West District GIS and Police Dog Services.

Once inside the home, officers found and seized:

  • Dilaudid, Gabapentin and Lorazepam tablets;
  • A small quantity of cocaine;
  • Seven firearms, including a sawed-off .22 rifle;
  • Two extendable batons;
  • One crossbow;
  • Ammunition;
  • Drug paraphernalia, including scales and packaging materials; and
  • $545 in cash.

Four people located on the property, all from Swan River, were arrested without incident.

Darryl Fayant, 64, and 42-year-old Pamela Fayant are charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized;
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking; and
  • Failure to comply with an undertaking.

Both were remanded into custody.

Renee Fayant, 30, and 51-year-old Ryan Rosteski are charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized; and
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Both were released on undertakings.
