Selkirk RCMP respond to fatal single-vehicle collision

On October 11, 2026, at 12:31 am, Selkirk RCMP responded to an iPhone crash notification on Highway 44 and Floodway Drive, in the RM of St Clements.
Officers responded immediately and located a vehicle in a field, northwest of the intersection. The vehicle had damages consistent with being in a rollover. EMS were already on scene treating the driver and the passenger.
The passenger, an 18-year-old female from West St. Paul, was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 24-year-oldmale from Beausejour, was transported to hospital by STARS ambulance. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Selkirk RCMP, along with RCMP Traffic Services, continue to investigate.
