On Oct. 8, RCMP received numerous reports from residents at a Portage la Prairie apartment complex that the tires of their vehicles had been slashed overnight.
Seven vehicles parked at the complex – located on the 700-block of Cedar Bay – had been vandalized during the incident, with multiple vehicles having all four tires slashed.
Surveillance video obtained by the RCMP show a male in the parking lot just after 5:50 a.m. who proceeded to try car handles on several parked vehicles and knocked on multiple apartment doors.
Shortly before 6:30 a.m., the male is seen walking around the lot to various parked vehicles and making motions towards the tires.
RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in this case. Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445.
