RCMP arrest seven in Grandview, weapons and drug charges laid

On Oct. 21, at approximately 5 p.m., several officers went to a residence in Grandview in an effort to locate a male wanted on multiple warrants of arrest.

Officers from the RCMP’s West District General Investigation Section (GIS), the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offenders Apprehension Unit, Dauphin RCMP and Police Dog Services went to the home, located on the 400-block of Railway Avenue North.

While on scene, officers saw a 39-year-old male that was wanted on an unrelated warrant of arrest arriving in the driveway at the residence with the homeowner. That individual was arrested without incident.

The homeowner then consented to officers searching his home for the original male suspect. Officers did not locate the suspect but did find a firearm in open view that no one inside the home could lawfully possess. This prompted officers to seize the weapon, remove the people inside the home and apply for a search warrant.

A quantity of drugs was found on one of the individuals as they were leaving the home. Another individual wanted on a warrant of arrest was also located leaving the residence and apprehended.

After a search warrant was obtained hours later, RCMP went back inside. They located and seized more than 70 grams of cocaine, pills, a firearm, ammunition, magazines, various swords and knives, drug paraphernalia, unstamped tobacco and nearly $2,750 in cash.

Tiffany Genaille, 36, of Grandview is charged with:

• Drug possession for the purpose of trafficking;
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
• Possession of property obtained by crime;
• Unsafe storage of a firearm; and
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Donald Greer, 63, of Grandview is charged with:

• Drug possession for the purpose of trafficking;
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
• Possession of property obtained by crime;
• Unsafe storage of a firearm;
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
• Possession of ammunition contrary to an order; and
• Possession of a firearm contrary to an order.

Nicole Greer, 38, of Grandview is charged with:

• Drug possession for the purpose of trafficking;
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
• Possession of property obtained by crime;
• Unsafe storage of a firearm; and
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Darrell Leschasin, 54, of Dauphin is charged with:

• Drug possession for the purpose of trafficking;
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
• Possession of property obtained by crime;
• Unsafe storage of a firearm; and
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Dustin Robertson, 33, of Grandview is charged with:

• Drug possession for the purpose of trafficking;
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
• Possession of property obtained by crime;
• Unsafe storage of a firearm;
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
• Possession of ammunition contrary to an order; and
• Possession of a firearm contrary to an order.

Brittany Stoughton, 41, of Grandview was processed on her warrant of arrest. She is also charged with:

• Drug possession for the purpose of trafficking;
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
• Possession of property obtained by crime;
• Unsafe storage of a firearm;
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
• Possession of ammunition contrary to an order; and
• Possession of a firearm contrary to an order.

Anthony Ferland, 39, of Grandview was processed on his warrants of arrest.

All were released on notices to appear in a Dauphin courtroom at a later date.
