On January 27, 2025, at approximately 2:18 p.m., members of the Chaleur Region RCMP, Bathurst Police Force, St.-Anne Regional Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a truck hauling a trailer on Route 11, near the King Avenue exit in Bathurst, N.B.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the car, travelling northbound on Route 11, crossed over the center line and struck the trailer of the truck, travelling in the southbound lane.
