Update: The individual involved in an attempted armed robbery in Moncton has been identified. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.
The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's help to identify an individual following an attempted armed robbery at a business in Moncton, N.B.
On January 11, 2025, at approximately 8:12 p.m., an individual entered a business on John Street in Moncton carrying a weapon. The individual fled the scene on foot shortly after, and was unsuccessful in obtaining anything. No one was injured during the incident.
Police are releasing surveillance footage photos in hopes that someone may recognize the individual, who is described as a younger man with a slim build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black jacket, black sweat pants, a grey toque and a red bandana partially covering his face.
