RCMP seeking public’s help following home invasion, firearm discharge

The Caledonia Region RCMP detachment is asking for the public's help following a home invasion and a firearm discharge in Berry Mills, N.B.

On January 4, 2025, at approximately 1:52 a.m., members of the Caledonia Region RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on McFarlane Road, in Berry Mills. 

An individual forcibly gained entry to the residence by breaking the door window with a hammer. While in the residence, the suspect discharged the firearm, however, no injuries were sustained to the homeowner. The suspect left the residence prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

The suspect is described as a man, approximately 20 years old, 6 feet (183 centimetres) tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds (91 kilograms), and spoke English. He was wearing all black clothing, a mask, gloves, and armed with a long gun. 

Anyone who may have information that could help further the investigation, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the overnight hours of January 3, 2025, is asked to contact the Caledonia Region RCMP at 506-387-2222. The investigation is ongoing.
