Hit and run involving a pedestrian, RCMP seeking public’s help

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's help following a hit and run involving a pedestrian in Moncton, N.B.

On January 24, 2025, at approximately 12 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of an individual who had been struck by a vehicle near the 2500 block of Mountain Road, in Moncton. The pedestrian was not injured, however, the vehicle failed to remain at the scene.

Police are now releasing a video surveillance footage photo in hopes that someone may recognize the vehicle, described as a black Mazda 5 with a New Brunswick licence plate beginning with JRN. The vehicle also sustained significant damage to the driver’s side mirror. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, recognizes the vehicle, or who has information that could help further the investigation, is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
