A 32-year-old man has been charged with voyeurism in connection with an ongoing investigation in the Val-Doucet N.B. region, and police are now seeking other possible victims.
On January 4, 2024, members of the Caraquet RCMP received a report of photos being taken of an individual without their consent.
The same day, police attended a residence in Val-Doucet, where electronic devices and unsecured firearms were seized. A 32-year-old man from Val-Doucet, N.B., was subsequently arrested, and was later released on conditions pending a future court appearance. Shortly after, police executed a search warrant on the electronic devices, and obtained evidence to further their investigation.
In December of 2024, 32-year-old Steven Sisk was charged with voyeurism. On January 13, 2025, he appeared in court and entered a plea of not guilty. A trial date of June 23, 2025, has been set for Bathurst Provincial Court.
Throughout their investigation, it was learned that the man may have committed similar offences involving other individuals. This is still an active investigation, and police are working diligently to determine if there were other victims.
