A 30-year-old man from Burton, N.B., has been arrested and charged in connection with a child luring investigation in Burton, N.B.
On March 12, 2025, members of the Oromocto RCMP Detachment were made aware of a report involving online child luring in the Burton area. Early in the investigation, a 30-year-old man was identified as a person of interest.
On March 14, 2025, members of the Oromocto RCMP, assisted by the New Brunswick RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Route 102, in Burton. A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident, and several digital devices were seized by police as part of their investigation. The man was remanded into custody pending a future court appearance.
On March 17, 2025, 30-year-old Brady Worden appeared in Fredericton Provincial Court and was charged with:
- Luring a child under the age of 14
- Transmitting child pornography
- Failure to comply with a prohibition order
- Failure to comply with an undertaking
Due to a previous conviction, Brady Worden was prohibited for life from communicating with anyone under the age of 16 and from attending any place that someone under the age of 16 is reasonably expected to be.
He was remanded into custody, and is scheduled to reappear in Fredericton Provincial Court on March 20, 2025.
