The Richibucto RCMP is investigating a shooting incident in Saint-Paul, New Brunswick.
On March 27, 2025, during a community meeting in Saint-Paul, a member of the Richibucto RCMP detachment was made aware of a shooting incident that had occurred the day before on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and immediately initiated an investigation into the event.
Upon investigation, it was learned that on March 26, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., shots were fired at a residence on Route 515 in Saint-Paul, New Brunswick. The residents were home at the time of the incident and were not injured during the event. Police are investigating this as an isolated incident, and it does not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready.
"I understand that events like this are very concerning, and I would like to reassure the residents of Saint-Paul that the RCMP is committed to ensuring the safety of everyone in the communities we serve," says Sergeant Guillaume Bélanger with the Richibucto detachment. "If you have any information regarding this incident, please come forward."
Anyone who has video footage, witnessed the shooting, or has information that could help further the investigation is asked to call the Richibucto RCMP at 506-523-4611. Police remain in the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
